*Happy
Summer! The SNOW Report from Ché: Come on in, the warmer weather's great! It's now summer in the Rockies. We have a saying here, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." Here's some of the fun things to do now: Hike, run, kayak, raft, mountain climb, pan for gold, summer sled (Heritage Square), horseback ride, see a show at Red Rocks--Heck, the possibilities are endless. And if you are itching to see snow...drive up to nearby Mount Evans, or trek to Trail Ridge Road. Dress warm: you can still make snow angels or have a snowball fight. Stop and shop at El Rancho for your comfy sheepskin slippers, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and anything new or unique we have the day you visit. Alternating all kinds of wacky Colorado weather days, you can be prepared...here! Don't forget the sunscreen, layers, and water! *The picture above was taken at Trail Ridge road in the middle of summer. |

The El Rancho Trading Post
is a long-running family-operated business for over 22 year in the family, Cam Goodman and Ché Rippinger
came back in 2006. Enjoy your shopping experience with us. It's different
every trip, with one-of-a-kind items, southwestern gifts, tourist collectibles
and very special local artisan pieces. We carry such items as jewelry, leather belts,
t-shirts, sweatshirts, artwork, cards, carvings & children's toys. All have the unique flair for the interesting, unusual, useful, fun,
or beautiful.
Nestled in the heart
of the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains, visiting El Rancho is a memorable
rustic and scenic southwestern experience. Great for stopping for a travel break
to relax, unwind and enjoy. The 60 year old Historic El Rancho restaurant is well known for it's buffalo,
elk, trout, prime rib, special daily dishes, and scrumptious Sunday Champagne brunch. There is a tavern to enjoy a
drink and watch a sports game, as well as the main dining room, garden room, outdoor patio
and scenic banquet and picturesque garden grounds.

Did you know...
· We’re very easy to get to in Colorado, just take the I-70 highway westbound into the mountains, and get off at the Evergreen Parkway exit. Or I-70 eastbound towards Denver and exit at El Rancho.
· We are located in the same three-level log building as the 1948 historic El Rancho Restaurant--a favorite spot for local and international visitors spanning several generations.
· There is a Quality Suites hotel just across the parking lot from El Rancho.
· There are some other businesses on the 2nd floor, including a great hair salon.
· El Rancho is a tourist information area.
· There is a nearby local buffalo herd at the Genesee exit.
· You can get one of the most beautiful pictures of the Continental Divide from El Rancho.
· El Rancho is part of the famous historical and scenic "Lariat Loop." A great drive with museums, trails, historic stops, buffalo, mountains, Red Rocks, and a brewery (you've heard of Coors, right?).
